Project Information

The expansion of SR 29 from Oil Well Road to SR 82 is identified as a needs project within the Collier County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and is consistent with Collier County's adopted Growth Management Plan. This evaluation is necessary due to the ongoing population and employment growth in and around the study area. The provision of safe and efficient transportation to support this growth requires action to improve the existing transportation network.

The objective of the PD&E Study is to provide documented information necessary for FDOT to reach a decision on the type, design, and location of improvements to SR 29 for acceptance by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
